Hurricane Season Is Here: Be Prepared (”News Always On” May. 30, 2018)


Hurricane Irma ripped across the state of Florida last September and was blamed for 84 deaths, as well as over $8.6 billion in property damages. Hurricane Maria, decimated Puerto Rico last October, led to mass relocations and after an eight-month, $3.8 billion federal effort to end the longest blackout in United States history.

As the hurricane season come around on Friday, June 1, U.S. Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen provides American citizens with messages of preparedness.
